Mac

Version 1.0.0

Apple silicon Macs (M1 and later) with macOS 12 or later. Intel Macs are not supported yet.

Signed and notarized by Apple, so your Mac opens it without a warning.

Windows

Coming soon

64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809) or later, and Windows 11.

We open the Windows download only after the installer is signed, so Windows does not warn you about it.

How to install

Three steps on each computer.

On a Mac

  • 1. Download

Pick the installer (.pkg) or the disk image (.dmg). Both hold the same app.

  • 2. Open it

For the installer, double-click it and follow the steps. For the disk image, drag iFixediT onto Applications. Your Mac asks for an administrator password once.

  • 3. Sign in

Open iFixediT from Applications and sign in with your iFixediT account. Your computers appear under Computers.

On Windows

  • 1. Download

Download the installer (.exe) when it is ready.

  • 2. Run it

Double-click it and follow the steps. Windows asks for an administrator's permission once.

  • 3. Sign in

Open iFixediT from the Start menu and sign in with your iFixediT account.

Questions

Which computers does the app run on?

The Mac app runs on Apple silicon Macs (M1 and later) with macOS 12 or later. Intel Macs are not supported yet. The Windows app is coming soon and will run on 64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809) and Windows 11.

How do I know my Mac has an Apple silicon chip?

Choose the Apple menu, then About This Mac. If it says Chip with a name that starts with Apple M, you are set. If it says Processor with an Intel name, this app does not run on that Mac yet.

Does the app have administrator rights on my computer?

No. Installing it needs an administrator once. After that it runs as you, with no extra rights. Fixes are never run from the app. They run from our service, and only after you tap Allow or Autopilot is on.

Can I buy or change my plan in the app?

No. Plans are managed on the web at app.ifixedit.io. The desktop app sells nothing.

Is it installed for me on a protected computer?

Not yet. For now you download it yourself from this page and sign in. Installing it for you when a computer is set up for Protected computer is coming soon.

Can I talk to Fixie or an agent by voice in the desktop app?

On the Mac app, yes. Voice calls with Fixie and with agents work there. The Windows app will not have calls at first. Technician visits are coming soon on every app.

Is there a desktop app for staff?

Yes. Agents, technicians and admins sign in to the same desktop app and get the same screens as in the web app. Applying to become an agent or a technician is done in the web app.

Which one should I use?

Use the web app to share your screen, add extra computers and manage your plan. Use the desktop app to keep your computers, Fixie and help guides in a window beside your work. The phone app is coming soon, for Fixie on the go and alerts. The table above shows every difference.
